But rather than the usual unveiling of the tournament football kits, Chelsea striker Drogba and former Manchester United ace Ronaldo took part in a photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine - posing in just a pair of tight pants.

And they showcased more than the the colours of their nations, as they revealed the enviable physiques usually concealed by their football kits.

Drogba pulled on the green, gold and white of the Ivory Coast flag, while Armani model and Real Madrid ace Ronaldo donned a tomato red pair made by the designer, in a nod to his native Portugal.

The pair peeled off for renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, famous for her portrait of a pregnant and nude Demi Moore and more recently, her controversial topless shot of teen star Miley Cyrus.
