Charlotte Dellal’s Edgy Take on Wedding Footwear

Charlotte Dellal’s Edgy Take on Wedding Footwear - Fashion - Shoes - Charlotte Dellal - Footwear - Wedding - Women's Wear

Wedding shoes have come a long way in the past five years. White satin sling-backs have been replaced by sexed-up stilettos and platform booties which, shocker, brides wear again and again after the big day. To get some inside advice on how to pick the best wedding-day shoes, I turned to footwear designer (and bride-to-be) Charlotte Dellal (of cult favorite line Charlotte Olympia).

“I don’t believe that wedding shoes should be traditionally white. I think it’s definitely something to have fun with and show your personality. Especially when the dress is long, you get to flash some beautiful colored shoes. This May, mine will be leopard print!”

Here, a few of the non-traditional shoes I’m considering for my walk down the aisle. Tell me, which ones are your favorite (keep in mind, I'm going for major height my soon-to-be-husband is 6'3'')?
