The look book: Alexander McQueen men’s underwear A/W 2010
The look book: Alexander McQueen men’s underwear A/W 2010 - Alexander McQueen - Underwear

Last week we heard that Lee Alexander McQueen was working on a men’s underwear collection before he died this February 2010, and we have the look book for you. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, he took inspiration from old black and white abstract photography. We love the tattooed male model on the look book cover with Alexander McQueen and the iconic skull logo on his naked body.

The launch Autumn/Winter 2010 collection comprises of four ranges – Basic, Fashion, Sleepwear and Loungewear. The collection will be available on and in stores worldwide from June 2010 with a swimwear collection set to be launched in time for Summer 2011. Prices range from $52.50 for a basic boxer to $555 for silk jacquard pajamas set.

“We are very enthusiastic about this launch: the development of our menswear is a priority for us and expanding the diversity of products within that sector is mandatory. The underwear line places the brand in a new product and price category whilst maintaining our aesthetic, creativity and quality,” said Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO Alexander McQueen in a release.

“Our collaboration with Albisetti is a long-term project, as we will continue the basics, the fashion range will be updated every season. We will immediately offer a swimwear variation for summer 2011 and further expansion is yet to come.”
