"I guess I've always been fascinated with sparklies," said Robert Smith while laughing. "There was a time when I was a gold prospector, so I'm quite familiar with where precious metals and gemstones come from, as well as refinement and the whole process of creating fine jewelry."

Smith is the founder of www.FineJewelryNecklaces.com, which launched in April 2009. The website offers a wide range of high quality necklaces, pendants and chains.

"Whether people are looking for sterling silver necklaces, diamond pendants or white gold chains, I'll have it on the website," said Smith. "I try to offer jewelry for every budget, so people can find a piece that suits their pocketbook."

While Smith's experiences as a prospector contributed to his knowledge of jewelry, he also has a loving wife who he has bought for on hundreds of different occasions.

"My wife and I have been married for quite a long time, and let's just say her jewelry collection is befitting of a queen," said Smith while laughing. "One of the reasons I started the website is to help other men with purchasing high quality jewelry for their wives or girlfriends."

In order to assist other men with purchasing jewelry for the women in their lives and cover a wide range of jewelry and gemstone related topics, Smith created a new blog at www.FineJewelryNecklacesBlog.com.

"On the blog I'll be talking about things like choosing the right necklace and balancing cost and carats," said Smith. "I've also got a lot of interesting stories about prospecting. For example, I just finished an article on where to find diamonds here in the United States, and I'm planning on talking about other gemstones as well."

Smith believes others will appreciate the effort he has put into designing the website, and that his customers will be comfortable finding the perfect necklace for their loved ones or themselves.
