Costing from £2,300 per treatment, and with effects that last over a year, is it the secret to pepping up your posterior, or is it nothing more than an expensive and ineffective pain in the rear?

FEMAIL spoke to three women who had the treatment.

First up is Camelia Solovastru, a 31-year-old PA, who lives in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. She is single and a size eight.

Ever since I hit my teens, I've been very aware that I do not have a bottom to be proud of. When I used to go sunbathing in the park with my girlfriends, they would wear tiny shorts to tan their legs, but I would sit there in a long skirt, covering up my entire lower half.

Back then I weighed nearly ten stone - not a huge amount, but a lot for someone barely 5ft 3in.

As I became interested in boys, I became aware of the inadequacies of my body - and especially my shapeless bottom. I would sit on the beach huddled self-consciously, staring enviously at other girls my age in their tiny bikinis, leaping in and out of the waves.

I couldn't mention my hang-up to my friends or family - it sounded so silly. I eventually did enough exercise to give my bottom some definition but I've never been happy about its shapelessness. Even now, nearly two stone lighter, I still dislike it.
