The worlds of fashion and beauty are traditionally youth-obsessed, but today's most crowded show featured a 50-year-old muse. The tents were swarming with people (including quite a few little girls) who wanted to peek at the doll's runway show.
Fashion's heavy hitters, including Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang, created outfits inspired by the doll.
And the hair and makeup, as you'll see, is equally dolled-up. (Full
disclosure: While Barbie is a sponsor of BellaSugar during Fashion
Week, I'm being honest in saying that this show seemed to be on
everyone's lips — it's been the most fun one by far.) Read on to see
some of the show's looks.
Big Hair
Barbie is all about the hair, and this voluminous style has plenty of it.
America the Beautiful
Clad in a Catherine Malandrino dress, this model displays the huge hair that makes little girls love Barbie.
Barbie in Diane Von Furstenberg
Diane Von Furstenberg designed this pink and white dress for the living doll; icy pastel makeup complemented it well.
A Valentine's Embrace
No Barbie show would be complete without her "Ken." (My eight-year-old self is swooning.)
