Ready and rearing to go, the female 'ambassadors of fashion' from St. Vincent, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Barbados, Miami, New York and London are ready to prove to the judges that they have what it takes to cop top honours.

Following the same formula as the recent local reality television show, the girls will be videotaped as they compete in a series of challenges. Set to excite and showcase the culture and sites of the island, Pulse has formulated a uniquely Jamaican itinerary which includes elaborate photo shoots at some of the island's most exotic locations.

These include the Starfish Resort in Trelawny, as well as the picturesque Strawberry Hill in Irish Town. Scheduled also to 'rock the runway' at the newly designed Pulse studios, the Caribbean beauties must give their all as eliminations are imminent and the panel - Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper, Pulse General Manager Romae Gordon and Gleaner columnist Chester Francis-Jackson- arduously reviews pictures and make the cuts.

Intensity, dedication and passion are needed as competitors have to continuously prove they want the title.

Top honours

As the search comes to a gripping finale, the question stands, who will take top honours? Will it be London's Shareena Swinscoe, Adielesie de la Rosa from the Dominican Republic or Jamaica's Rochelle Notice? The extremely athletic Cayman native Ambuyah Ebanks is definitely ready to walk the runway, as are Miami's Jenaae Jackson, St. Vincent's Lackeisha Williams and the fashionable Barbadian, Sasha Braithwaite.

Since the Caribbean competition's inception in 2002, the winners have always been from Jamaica. Caribbean jewels: Nell Robinson, Jaunel McKenzie, Ghinelle Germain and Gaye Mc Donald have proved that Jamaicans have what it takes. But will the women from outside the island give them a run for their money?

Pulse's conclusive search for the Caribbean's next supermodel airs January 2008.

Caribbean Model Search is presented by Pulse, in association with: The Gleaner, bmobile, Air Jamaica, Dark & Lovely, Sensationnel, Goddess Remi, Jamrock magazine, Ocean Style magazine, SHE Caribbean, CVM TV, HYPE TV, Zip 103, Irie FM, Kool 97 FM, the Hilton, Homestyle Juices, and Ting.
