On Wednesday, Dugas introduced New York City celebrity make-up artist Alison Raffaele and her new natural cosmetic line to the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Women’s Art Guild Luncheon.

The luncheon’s attendees also saw the premier of two new lip colors commissioned by Dugas to benefit the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Art Guild.

Patchouli’s launched the campaign “Support the Arts with your Smile” through the two custom lip colors – Mattie Kelly Red and Mattie Kelly Coral.

Three Custom Color Specialists in New York City created the formulas for Dugas. Part of the proceeds from the purchase of the $22 lip colors goes to support the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation.

Raffaele spoke at Wednesday’s luncheon on the subject of “The Art of Timeless Beauty.”

Since the early 1990s, Raffaele has worked with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and other big-name stars. For the first eight years, Raffaele was assisting internationally-known makeup artist Bobbi Brown before launching her own line of cosmetics in 2000.

Raffaele has now incorporated Frutta di Vita into three of her cosmetics – the Realty Base, True Concealer and Transparent Finish. The antioxidant complex is talc, oil, gluten, fragrance and paraben free, and is part of her goal of “naturally inspired beauty.”

Raffaele also strives to be environmentally responsible in her use of packaging materials and business practices. The packaging on her products is 80 percent from Post Consumer Forest Stewardship Council approved material. The clear overcap is from PETA plastic and can be recycled. The bottle is made from polypropylene plastic and can be recycled.

Alison Raffaele Cosmetics are available domestically and worldwide and locally at Patchouli’s at Gulf Place and Pish Posh Patchouli’s at Rosemary Beach.
