With Paseo Alcorta
as main sponsor and the companies L’Oréal, as official Make Up and
Redken, as official haircare brand, BAF WEEK’s objective is to
encourage the textile industry to position Buenos Aires as fashion
capital in the international calendar, looking forward, at the same
time, to stimulating the development of the area and the meeting of the
main actors of the industry.
The event will
convoke outstanding role models of the fashion world, at a multispace
which will hold 3 runways for the 30 fashion shows that will be held
during the week and around 40 showrooms for the designers to show their
collections at an exclusive space. Besides, there will be other
facilities and living rooms to relax with gastronomic options.
The most recognized designers and brands will participate in BAF WEEK
through their own fashion shows: Puma, Vicky Otero, Ricky Sarkany,
Wanama, Cecilia Gadea, Mariana Dappiano, Ayres, Vero Ivaldi, Mariano
Toledo, Rapsodia, Flavia Martini, Spina, Prüne, Juana de Arco, Adidas,
Kukla, Kostume, María Cher, Lacoste, Cora Groppo, A. Y. Not Dead,
Araceli Pourcel and Nadine Zlotogora.
Marcelo Senra will be in charge of opening the week and Pablo Ramírez will be in charge of closing it.
The design students of the University of Buenos Aires who have won the “Semillero Uba - Baf Week”
contest –which convoked a prestigious comittee composed by Pablo
Ramírez, Carolina Ainstein and Araceli Pourcel- will also have the
opportunity to present their designs on the runway. This initiative is
sponsored by Paseo Alcorta which, together with BAF WEEK, supports the
new talents through an action that encourages the development and
diffusion of fashion contents.
BAF WEEK is organized by La Nación, La Rural - Buenos Aires Exhibition Center and APSA shopping malls.
