The five-day event showcases the region's most comprehensive display of wedding related products and services, and will feature over 120 exhibitors spread across 8,000 square metres - an increase in floor space of 25 per cent from last year.

On show will be a wide range of stands including gift-related items, florists, catering services, fashion and jewellery, wedding venues, fashion designs, bridal wear, entertainment, health and beauty, traditional shows and entertainment, limousine rental, cards and stationery, tours and travel agents, photography and video, and a whole lot else besides.

Top-name designers such as Mohammad Dagher from Egypt will be attending the show for the very first time, and there will be strong representation from Lebanon, Egypt, Pakistan and, of course, the UAE.

Other big names include Amato, Rahmanian, Hanayen and, again for the first time, La Donna. Abu Haleeqa Stores will be presenting their ladies' fashions, whilst Jewellery Designers include VHP, AZAR, Hanna, and a selection of design houses from Lebanon.

Mr. Saif Mohammad Al Midfa, Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah, says that the show has established itself as the only must-visit exhibition for all things nuptial in the Middle East. 'The exhibition features each and every product that goes in to making a wedding complete,' he says. 'Besides its comprehensive profile, the high quality of the products and services exhibited is also a major reason for the show's popularity in the region.

'The Perfect Wedding Show provides companies and service providers, engaged in the wedding industry, direct access to large numbers of soon to-be married couples in the region and it is the perfect bridge between the industry and its key clientele customers, who also have a very high spending capacity. The event serves as a one stop shop for all their wedding needs,' he adds.

Following in the footsteps of last year's highly successful event, it is planned to repeat the fashion shows given by some of the best-known and most exclusive names in the regional fashion arena. Group Project Manager, Taghreed Khallaf, explains they proved to be a major attraction last year and were being repeated by popular demand.

'There will also be live demonstrations of make up and hair styles, daily free gifts for visitors, and even a Raffle Draw for honeymoon trips to Thailand and Malaysia,' she says. 'And besides the fashion shows, we are also once again bringing back the performances by professional dance troupes from Lebanon which proved to be such a huge crowd puller last time around.'

As well as the exhibitor stands, entertainment and fashion shows, there will also be the chance for visitors to purchase products directly from the suppliers, including wedding dresses, accessories, make up, jewellery, Shayla & Abayaa, wedding venues and planners and photography.

The Perfect Wedding Show is an initiative of the Expo Centre Sharjah with the active support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). It will be open for public from 3 pm to 10 pm.
