But there are a few items that never go out of style.
"These are thing you should get," said Tia Diamontopoulos, owner of Angel Shack in Rehoboth Beach. "They are fashion must-haves."
Diamontopoulos said there are a few items that are timeless.

"If you put them on years from now, they still work," she said.
The trick to fashion is to mix staples with trends.
"That's a good formula," she said. "Then it's easy. You can put it all together."
Another distinction between trends and staples, she said, is the price people should be willing to pay for the item.
"You need to categorize things in your mind," she said. "You don't have to spend a whole lot on trends because it's not going to be in fashion next year."
The staples, however, will stick around for a lifetime, so you should make more of an investment.
"Fashion staples last a long time," Diamontopoulos said. "If you buy it once, you'll never have to buy it again -- unless you want to."
LITTLE BLACK DRESS
"It's always in fashion," Diamontopoulos said.
The "LBD" is multifunctional and can be worn day or night.
Erin Kesselring and Jen White, of Downtown Cowgirl in Rehoboth Beach, said a classically cut little black dress in the right fabric it can be worn year-round.
"It's timeless," they said.
As one of the most important fashion staples, the LBD can be dressed up or down by simply adding accessories.
CARDIGAN
Diamontopoulos said that next to the LBD, a cardigan is a must-have for every closet.
"It can go with anything," she said. "Top off a dress or add it to jeans. It's classic."
Kesselring said that the versatile sweater is a nice top-off to any outfit.
"Not only do they keep you warm, but they never go out of style."
TRENCH COAT
A classic look that can be sexy, with total coverage.
"You look great right away," Diamontopoulos said. "It's tailored, looks great over sweats and dresses up really nice."
This timeless classic can be worn any number of ways, with a number of items.
"(Great) in black or tan," Kesselring said.
JEANS
Jean trends change often, but a jean that has a good fit, can be worn practically anywhere.
Diamontopoulos said that for most, boot-cut jeans are the perfect style.
"They're not wide or skinny," she said. "They're in-between."
This staple can be dressed up with a nice top and high heels or dressed down with sweats and tennis shoes.
CLASSIC PANT
Whether it be black, grey or brown, a classic pant with a good fit can work in any situation.
Diamontopoulos said take the pants and build an outfit by adding in color and trendy fashion pieces.
"It's easy," she said. "Fashion shouldn't be hard."
She said that if you buy the right pair, they can last you for years.
CAMISOLE
Layering may not always be in style, but having a camisole remains a fashion staple that can't go wrong.
Camisoles work under any number of items and can add a splash of color or a glimpse of lace.
